Meet Our Team

Please meet our team of dedicated vets, nurses and staff. Along with our regular volunteers we work to provide professional care and individual attention for you and your furry and feathery family members.

Dr. Chris Hagan

Veterinarian (BVSc BSc PhD)

Plaza Circle Vet Surgery is owned and operated by Dr Chris Hagan, a graduate from the University of Queensland.
After living in Goondiwindi, Chris took up a position with Max Wilson when he operated a business in Oakey. Chris originally serviced the many small dairies surrounding Oakey, but gradually took over the small animal side of the practice. Today Chris owns and runs Plaza Circle Veterinary Surgery.
Chris is himself a passionate pet owner, and you're likely to meet one or more of his beautiful German Shepherds when visiting the practice!
Tasha, Bobbie, Narla and Renly are regular attendees at Plaza Circle Vet, and are firm favourites with all the staff and many of our clients!

Dr. Emma Swan

Veterinarian (BVSc (Hons))

Emma is a UQ Graduate and a lifelong Toowoomba local. She has her own menagerie, mostly rescues, including a sheep, dog, cats, guinea pigs and lots of birds!

Emma has a special interest in avian patients (chickens and birds) and pocket pets (such as rats, mice and guinea pigs) and she loves nothing more than to discuss the unique husbandry requirements, behavioural aspects and medical needs of these species.
Emma has also done further study in Dog Cognition, an area that she finds fascinating!

In her spare time Emma is dedicated to caring for her many wildlife charges!

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing)

Sophia is one of our dedicated nurses. She is a Toowoomba local and a devoted pet owner to her own dogs and cats. Never one to turn down an animal in need, Sophia often dedicates her time to fostering animals for one of our fantastic local rescue groups. With a particular soft spot for BIG dogs, Sophia is always thrilled to treat a Giant Breed patient!

Lu is our very talented groomer. Her furry clients are treated to the full range of pampering- from manicures and clipping to a bath and blow-dry, Lu loves to achieve perfection in her grooming! Check out our Facebook page to see Lu's masterpieces on the regular!

Veterinary Nurse

Caitlyn is one of our friendly vet nurses at Plaza Circle Vets. She hails from Dalby, where one of her favourite things to do is hang out with her much-loved cockatiel Sassy in a massive custom-built aviary, or dote over Reaper the ban dog, who is just a little bit spoilt. Caitlyn enjoys all aspects of her job as a vet nurse, but if she could change anything it would be increasing her role in the goat-cuddling department!

Tasha is tasked with reminding our busy team of the importance of downtime. She leads by example, and takes this role very seriously! You can usually spot her performing her important work (snoozing) in her bed behind the reception desk.
Tasha is a 14 year old German Shepherd, and is actually the grandmother of Renly

Dog Run Manager, Chief Communications Officer. If you ever hear barking from the clinic yard, this is Narla doing her job in our Communications sector!
Narla is a fun-loving and boisterous German Shepherd. She and Yoshi are the parents of little Renly.

Communications Sector (2IC)
Renly is a fast growing and playful German Shepherd pup. He spends most of his working days chilling out in the dog run and playing games with his Mum, Narla.
